An associate in the opportunistic strategies group at Ennis, Knupp & Associates in Chicago, Keith Black works on pension, endowment and foundation clients’ alternatives programs.

Also a senior member of the firm’s opportunistic strategies investment management research group, Black, 43, evaluates managers in the areas of commodities, macro and managed futures, convertible bonds, tail hedging-­derivatives overlays and environmental investment strategies.

But, just as importantly, he’s playing a central role in the firm’s continued push into hedge funds. He also recently earned a Ph.D. in management science from the Illinois Institute of ­Technology.
