Diversified Investment Advisors is planning to add a target-date fund section to its PortfolioXpress suite, which allows DIA clients to create custom portfolios that are updated automatically. Mark Fortier, chief technology officer, said the target-date fund section will offer clients customized education materials and the means to select funds from the core options in the plan and then create a customized target-date portfolio. “Our goal with this program is to introduce participants to target-date funds, create a custom portfolio, and show them how to work it,” he said. “PortfolioXpress, which is part of the larger suite, PlanXpress, automatically makes the allocations for you.” Fortier said this program differs from standard target-date funds because participants can create more conservative or aggressive portfolios, depending on a participants risk tolerance. He said participants can choose to elect PortfolioXpress at enrollment meetings.
