Financial Adviser To Auction His Town On eBay

For the second time in its existence, the tiny town of Bridgeville, Calif., will be an item on eBay.

For the second time in its existence, the tiny town of Bridgeville, Calif., will be an item on eBay. Bruce Krall is about to list the village, population of about 25, on the online auction block again. Somebody had won it on eBay in 2002 for $1.78 million but never paid for it. So Krall, director of capital markets in the Newport Beach, Calif., office of Cohen Financial, bought it in May 2004 for $700,000 from a traditional realtor. He told the Associated Press that he’s sunk hundreds of thousands of dollars in the 83-acre townlet, to which he originally planned to move. “It’s come full circle,” said Kroll. “Now it’s been fixed up, and I think it’s actually ready to be sold on eBay.” Opening bid: $1.75 million.
