Ultrapar Participações is a fuel and chemicals conglomerate. The São Paulo-based outfit engages in the distribution of gas, manufacturing of specialty chemicals and the transportation and storage of petroleum and petrochemicals. In addition to its domestic operations, Ultrapar has industrial plants in the Mexico, Uruguay, the U.S. and Venezuela along with commercial offices in Argentina, Belgium, China and Colombia. It also operates Extrafarma, one of the largest pharmacy chain stores in Brazil.
