Bonn-based Deutsche Telekom, commonly referred to as DT, is a telecommunications services provider that was created in 1996 following the privatization of Deutsche Bundespost. The company has more than 150 million mobile subscribers and 30 million more fixed-line customers, plus 17 million broadband users. DT employs 228,000 workers in some 50 countries.
