David Gerstenhaber’s education in animal oncology began in 2000 when he felt a lump on the throat of Juliet, the female of his matched pair of golden retrievers. Juliet was diagnosed with advanced non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and Gerstenhaber and his wife, Kelly Posner Gerstenhaber, had to make a fast decision on a cancer treatment.
