Poland’s national securities depository Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych is planning to launch a central counterparty, Europe’s fifth, by the end of June 2012, reports Risk.net.

Poland’s national securities depository Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych is planning to launch a central counterparty, Europe’s fifth, by the end of June 2012. The new clearer, to be formed as a separate business and called KDPW-CCP, plans to start by clearing zloty-denominated interest-rate swaps, repos and forward-rate agreements.
