Egypt CenBank Raises $474.5M

The Central Bank of Egypt has raised $474.55 million in a two-part sale of domestic treasury bills.

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has raised $474.55 million in a two-part sale of domestic treasury bills, Reuters reports. The first tranche of the sale consisted of 91-day T-bills for $251.97 million, with an 11.6% yield.

The second tranche comprised 252-day T-bills for $222.57 million, with an average yield of 12.97%. The bank previously expected to raise around $587.93 million from the transaction.
