Five central securities depositories (CSD) associations have partnered to establish a World Forum of CSDs (WFC). The new group will provide a forum to boost communication between associations and offer a common voice on issues relevant to these groups and their members.
The forum will have a board of 10 members, namely the chairs and vice-chairs of each of the five regional associations. Mohamed Abdel Salam of Egypt’s Misr for Central Clearing, Depository & Registry, representing the Africa and Middle East CSD Association, has been named Chairman of the WFC.
