WGC: Euro Gold ETFs Holdings Rise In Q2

As per the World Gold Council, European gold ETFs holdings increased by 4.3% in the second quarter of 2011.

As per the World Gold Council (WGC), European gold ETFs holdings increased by 4.3% in the second quarter of 2011, Market Watch reports. The largest European-listed gold ETFs together gathered 29.2 metric tons of gold through the end of June.

Holdings of the largest physical gold ETF the SPDR Gold Shares slipped by three metric tons on the quarter, to 1,208.20 tons. Across the world, the ETFs added a total of 45.6 tons of gold on the quarter.
