Retirement confidence has fallen for the first time since 2019 among American workers saving for retirement via defined contribution (DC) plans according to a new survey conducted by BlackRock (“2022 BlackRock Read on Retirement”). The decline in confidence has largely been driven by the one-two punch of the Covid pandemic followed by inflation and increased volatility.
