Software and services vendor Cloudera has raised $40 million series D round of venture capital funding. The investment round was led by Frank Artale of Ignition Partners. Cloudera extends Apache Hadoop-based data management software and services.
Existing investors such as Accel Partners, Greylock Partners, Meritech Capital Partners and In-Q-Tel also took part in the fundraising process. The company will use the proceeds to further expansion of its marketing and sales operations, and to support key strategic initiatives.
