Global private equity investment firm TPG Capital has entered in a partnership with Dan Allen Hughes and Thomas Hart to form a new venture Maverick American Natural Gas. The new natural gas company will be set up with an initial equity capital commitment of up to $1 billion.
The new venture Maverick will focus on acquiring and operating conventional natural gas producing properties in North America. As a part of the transaction, Hughes will become chairman and Hart will serve as president of Maverick American. Hughes is also CEO and president of Dan A. Hughes Co. and Hupecol Operating Co.
