Mass Inspects State Street Over FX

Massachusetts’ chief securities regulator is investigating State Street over its handling of FX.

Massachusetts’ chief securities regulator is investigating State Street over its handling of FX, Pensions & Investments reports. Secretary of the Commonwealth, William Galvin, has been reviewing the trades for two months. The state of California and the $9.6 billion Arkansas Teacher Retirement System, Little Rock, has also filed a lawsuit against State Street for alleged fraud involving the pricing of some FX transactions. The stat is seeking more than $200 million in damages and penalties.
