KKR Reports $181M Q4 Profit

Private equity fund manager, KKR, has posted a fourth-quarter profit of $180.6 million on investment gains.

Private equity fund manager, KKR, has posted a fourth-quarter profit of $180.6 million on investment gains, The Wall Street Journal reports. KKR received GAAP profit of $333.2 million for the year that ended on Dec. 31, 2010, a 61% decline from 2009’s $849.7 million.

The company’s fee revenue raised 13%, to $146.3 million from $129.9 million, adds Bloomberg. The company’s assets under management totaled $61 billion as of Dec. 31, 2010, up $16.8%, from $52.2 billion at the end of 2009. Separately, KKR is also seeking to raise a new North American buyout fund.
