Credit Suisse Boosts FX Trading Team

David Tait is joining Swiss financial services company Credit Suisse Group as global head of foreign exchange trading in January.

David Tait is joining Swiss financial services company Credit Suisse Group as global head of foreign exchange (FX) trading in January, FX Week reports. He will be based in London and will report locally to Todd Sandoz, global head of foreign exchange and short-term interest rates trading. BNP Paribas emerging markets head John Estrada has also joined the group as global head of FX electronic market-making trading, also in London.

Tait will be in charge of risk management and trading across FX spot and options, as well as expanding Credit Suisse’s customer franchise in FX. Before joining the banking group, he was with Swiss global financial services firm UBS. The appointments come amid a job-cutting exercise at Credit Suisse.
