The $2 billion Iowa Municipal Fire & Police Retirement System, West Des Moines has selected Terry Slattery as executive director, Pensions & Investments reports. He is joining the fund from the $11 billion Public Employees’ Retirement Association (Pera) of New Mexico, Santa Fe, where he was executive director.
Slattery will take over from Dennis Jacobs, who is retiring in January. Meanwhile, Pera is looking to appoint Kurt Weber, deputy executive director-operations or Mary Frederick, deputy executive director-member services, to jointly or individually handle Slattery’s responsibilities for an interim period.
