Mott Foundation Gives $3.63M to Flint Center

The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation has provided grants worth $3.63 million for music and art institutes located in Flint.

The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation has provided grants worth $3.63 million for music and art institutes located in Flint. The endowment is aimed at supporting the Flint Cultural Center Corp., the Flint Institute of Arts and the Flint Institute of Music.

The foundation has given $1.35 million to the Flint Cultural Center, $1.63 million to the Flint Institute of Arts and $650,000 to the Flint Institute of Music. The grants will bolster the core programming and daily functions of these institutions, assisting them in utilizing other grants, gifts and income to provide more free and low-cost activities, school-busing subsidies and similar outreach services.
