Indonesia Bourse To Restart Stock Options

The Indonesia Stock Exchange is looking to re-launch trading in stock options in 2012, Bloomberg reports. South-east Asia’s third-largest bourse with a market capitalization of $369 billion is looking to attract investors and by 2015 take market capitalization to double the current levels. The exchange had launched options trading in 2004, but had to close it down in 2006 for lack of demand that stemmed partly from a cap on profits on options. Options trading may resume by June-end, subject to a new trading system being completed and rules on derivatives being amended by then.
