The Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin, is looking to appoint a new CFO.

The Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin, is looking to appoint a new CFO, Pensions & Investments reports. Former CFO Kenneth Welch was named deputy director of the $105.4 billion system on September 1, but continues to perform his previous duties. The CFO will handle strategic planning, program development, executive management and administration of all of the fund’s fiscal operations. The candidates are required to submit their proposals by September 26. Welch succeeded Brian Guthrie, who became the system’s executive director.
