Illinois To Award $750M Equities Mandate

The Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, Oak Brook, is seeking to appoint managers to run a total of $750 million in active international value equities.

The Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, Oak Brook, is seeking to appoint managers to run a total of $750 million in active international value equities, Pensions & Investments reports. The $26 billion fund has issued an RFP for the search and may hire more than one manager.

Funding for the mandate will come from a $1.9 billion MSCI EAFE index fund, managed by Northern Trust Global Investments. The retirement fund’s investment consultant Callan Associates is assisting in the search.
