SunPower has created a new fund with Citi to invest $105 million in residential solar lease projects. The fund, which received $80 million of contribution from Citi, will be used to extend SunPower Lease to customers in eight U.S. states. Homeowners can also obtain SunPower systems via cash purchase or SunPower’s loan program, which offers several low-interest loans. San Jose-based SunPower also offers loans for solar equipment and sells solar systems for cash, adds Business Journal.
