Direct Event Insurance has rolled out a free online tool for planning and providing proper consideration for the risks that may be present in an upcoming event. Through the new tool, an event planner can make a list of each contingency and decide ahead of time to avoid, reduce, share or retain the risk.

As part of classic risk management, one can handle risk either by eliminating the exposure and avoid it all together or by changing or modifying the event activity to reduce the peril. A third alternative of handling risk is to accept the hazard and set aside funds to pay for damages should it occur or finally to transfer or share the risk and obtain proper insurance.
