Italy has raised €6.5 billion in a sale of 12-month Treasury bills, The Wall Street Journal reports. The T-bills are scheduled to mature on Aug. 15, 2012.
The settlement date of the T-bills is Aug. 15, 2011. The country had previously held an auction on July 12, 2011.
