The Kansas Governor has added five new members to a 13 member state commission state commission appointed to come up with a plan to fix the state’s underfunded pension plan.

The Kansas Governor has added five new members to a 13 member state commission state commission appointed to come up with a plan to fix the state’s underfunded pension plan, Kansas Reporter reports. It has added two financial services industry executives, a financial planner, a labor lawyer and a southwest Kansas cattle feeder. The Kansas Public Employees Retirement System Study Commission (KPERS) will be active in its role from July 1 to work to increase funding for the $12 billion state-run pension plan. Edward Condon, Christopher Long, Paul Seyferth, Richard Stumpf and Brian Winter are the new members of the team.
