Singapore Mercantile Exchange CEO Quits

The Singapore Mercantile Exchange’s CEO, Thomas McMahon, has stepped down from his role.

The Singapore Mercantile Exchange’s (SMX) CEO, Thomas McMahon, has stepped down from his role. He will continue to work with SMX until the end of June 2011 and thereafter continue his association with the exchange as a member of its advisory board. McMahon, who joined SMX about two years ago, previously headed the Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange and was a former director of NYMEX Asia, adds Reuters. The company’s board is in the process of identifying the next CEO.
