Precious metal ETFs suffered $535 million outflows in the week ended May 18, 2011.

Precious metal ETFs suffered $535 million outflows in the week ended May 18, 2011, Barron’s reports. The iShares Silver ETF lost $350 million in net outflows, while the PowerShares DB Silver Fund suffered $100 million outflows.

The commodities segments also showed weekly outflows, including base metals with $47 million outflows, agriculture with $190 million outflows and energy with $223 million outflows. Leveraged and short funds in the commodities segments gathered $203 million inflows.
