HSBC Unveils Greater China-Focused ETFs

HSBC has entered the Asian exchange-traded fund market with the launch of three Greater China-focused portfolios.

HSBC has entered the Asian exchange-traded fund (ETF) market with the launch of three Greater China-focused portfolios, Reuters reports. The European lender is offering funds that track the MSCI indexes in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The HSBC MSCI China ETF will compete against similar funds handled by other institutions. Other Greater China-focused portfolios have managed about $45.7 billion as of the end of March 2011.
