The recovery in mortgage delinquencies rates that began in the second quarter of 2010 appears to have stalled in the first quarter of this year, according to Trepp. In a preliminary report on first-quarter activity, Trepp estimates that total residential and commercial mortgage delinquencies improved slightly, while serious delinquencies remained flat. The slight decline, says Trepp, “highlights the lackluster nature of the economic recovery so far.”
