The Congressional Budget Office has revised down the taxpayer cost of the Troubled Asset Relief Program from a November estimate of $25 billion to roughly $19 billion, reports CNS News.

The Congressional Budget Office has revised down the taxpayer cost of the Troubled Asset Relief Program from a November estimate of $25 billion to roughly $19 billion. The lower figure is attributed in part to better-than-expected profits the government realized from its core bank bailout programs, which, among other things, completely erased losses from the rescue of American International Group.
