Kiev-based billionaire, Dmitry Firtash, has acquired Ukraine’s Cherkassy Azot fertilizer producer, Financial Times reports. The price of the deal has not been disclosed, but Oleksandr Yaroslavsky, the Ukrainian businessmen who sold Cherkassy Azot, had said he was seeking $800 million for the asset. Firtash was represented by his Vienna-based Ostchem chemical group. In 2010, he bought Ukraine’s Stirol fertilizer and pharmaceutical plant and Severodonetsk Azot chemical plant.
