Northrop To Contribute $562M To DB Plans

Northrop Grumman is expecting to allocate about $562 million to its defined benefit plans in 2011.

Northrop Grumman is expecting to allocate about $562 million to its defined benefit (DB) plans in 2011, Pensions & Investments reports. The company allocated about $894 million to the $22.78 billion DB plans in 2010 as compared to the $858 million it contributed in 2009.

The Los Angeles-based company invested $338 million in its $15.9 billion defined contribution plans in 2010 as compared to $341 million in 2009. Northrop Grumman issued $1.5 billion in unsecured senior debt in 2010.
