Trademark Capital Management has purchased Athens Capital Group, Plan Adviser reports. Trademark is launching a series of target-date collective trusts in partnership with Wilshire Associates, combining Athens’ asset management capabilities with Wilshire’s glide path methodology.

The trusts will offer a balance of growth and risk management by utilizing Athens’ proprietary blend of quantitative management, fundamental analysis and downside protection strategy paired with Wilshire’s glide path methodology. The collective trusts were unveiled on Feb. 1, 2011 through Hand Benefits and Trust, a unit of BPAS.
