Ex-Morgan Exec Gets $150 Million To Launch Hedge Funds

Barton Biggs receives $150 million to launch three hedge funds.

Market strategist, Barton Biggs, has received $150 million as seed capital from its former employer to launch three hedge funds, Crains New York Business reports. The former chief global strategist at Morgan Stanley has launched the funds through his hedge fund firm, Traxis Partners.

The Traxis Global Credit Opportunity Fund, managed by Amer Bisat, has been seeded with $50 million. The Traxis Multi-Asset Macro Fund is run by founding partner Cyril Moulle-Berteaux, while Biggs is managing the new Traxis Global Equity Macro Fund.
