European investors looking for local exposure to U.S. mega-cap stocks have a new option as of today, with Lyxor Asset Management’s introduction of the Lyxor ETF Dow Jones IA, an exchange-traded fund tracking the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The U.S.-listed DJIA fund, the Dow Industrials DIAMONDS, is one of the most popular ETFs with $5.7 billion in assets under management. The explosive growth of exchange-traded funds is increasingly a trans-Atlantic phenomenon, with the Lyxor DJIA fund the 49th new ETF to list this year on Deutsche Börse’s XTF platform alone, bringing the total available there to 126.
