Private equity investment firm Grotech Ventures has promoted Lawson DeVries to the position of general partner. DeVries, who joined the firm in 2005, has been associated with different Grotech portfolio companies, including Aztek Networks, BroadSoft, Clarabridge, Collective Intellect and Traffiq.
DeVries lately handled Grotech’s investments in cloud infrastructure company 6Fusion and cutting-edge storage technology company NextGen Storage. Before joining Grotech, DeVries was an associate in the equity research division of German lender Deutsche Bank and an associate at financial research firm Buckingham Research Group.
