BlackRock and Gottex Fund Management are planning to close their closed-end funds employing hedge fund strategies, FINalternatives reports. The BlackRock Absolute Equity fund has about £160 million in assets under management. The Gottex Market Neutral Trust, which has a discount nearing 40%, will also shut down. The firms will return the money to investors.
