ICE Futures U.S. To Set Softs Trade Prices

ICE Futures U.S. will get the authority to adjust trade prices in softs futures.

ICE Futures U.S. will get the authority to adjust trade prices in softs futures, Reuters reports. The new rules will be effective from July 1 and follow a series of changes to lower unwarranted volatility in 2011.

The move will allow ICE to adjust trades made in coffee, cotton, frozen concentrated orange juice and sugar futures contracts. The exchange in January 2011 postponed its effort to reduce cascading stops in the softs complex following feedback from market participants.
