Bank of Ireland is in talks with private equity investors for a stake sale.

Bank of Ireland is in talks with private equity investors for a stake sale, Reuters reports citing the Sunday Business Post. The government, which owns a 36% stake in the bank, will sell its shares after a rights issue next month. Texas Pacific Group is understood to be interested in the stake sale. The government is seeking to raise about €4.2 billion in fresh capital from stake sales.
