Belarus is planning to sell its stake in the country’s gas pipeline network to Russia for $2.5 billion, Reuters reports. The state assets may be sold in exchange of a proposed $3-3.5 billion loan to be signed in June 2011. The first $800 million tranche of the loan may be provided to Belarus in 2011 summer. Belarus is also planning to unify the official rouble exchange rate after it gets a bailout loan from Russia.
