Japanese investment bank, Nomura Holdings, has appointed Mark Bartels as Chairman and head of its new equity capital markets (ECM) group in Australia, The Wall Street Journal reports. He is expected to join the brokerage house in August. Prior to Nomura Holdings, he served at Citigroup. Recently, Nomura also hired a managing director for mergers and acquisitions, a chief of fixed income and a chief of equities for Australia.
