Spruce Private Investors has appointed Robert Bastone as COO, Hedge Fund Net reports. Bastone joins Spruce from Epeius Asset Management, a healthcare hedge fund firm. Previously, Bastone was working in hedge funds at Tiger Management, and left the firm in 2000. He then served as director of trading operations at Ziff Brothers Investment and founded Moon Capital Management in 2005.
