Endo Pharma To Buy AMS For $2.6B

Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings will acquire urology-device company, American Medical Systems for $2.6 billion.

Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings will acquire urology-device company, American Medical Systems (AMS), for $2.6 billion, The Wall Street Journal reports. Endo will also assume AMS’ $312 million debt as part of the deal. Morgan Stanley and Bank of America Merrill Lynch will provide the financing for the deal to Endo, adds Reuters. JPMorgan Securities was appointed as financial adviser by AMS. The transaction is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2011.
