Eaton Vance has appointed Rodrigo Soto as a vice president of institutional business development. In his newly created role, he will be responsible for covering the western U.S. and Canadian territories. Based in Seattle, Washington, he will work under Scott Ruddick, managing director, head of institutional. Soto was previously head of institutional sales in the Western U.S. at State Street Global Advisors (SSgA).
