Credit Agricole is in discussions to offload about $700 million of stakes in leveraged buyout (LBO) funds, Bloomberg reports. London-based Coller Capital may acquire the assets of the French bank, which bought them to boost lending to LBO firms.

Citigroup, Barclays, Royal Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group have sold off holdings in private equity funds. The disposals come as regulators are considering plans to force banks to reserve more capital against their holdings in private equity funds.
