Qatar is interested in acquiring a stake in the U.K.’s part-nationalized banks.

Qatar is interested in acquiring a stake in the U.K.’s part-nationalized banks, Financial Times reports. The Qatari Prime Minister said he is open to investing in the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) or Lloyds Banking Group. The U.K. Financial Investments, which manages the government’s stakes in RBS and Lloyds, has been in talks with sovereign wealth funds. The Qatari Investment Authority invested $30 billion during the financial crisis in banks, including Credit Suisse and Barclays.
