Illinois State Universities Retirement System (SURS) has appointed Callan Associates as general investment consultant, Pensions & Investments reports. The investment consulting firm will oversee $13.4 billion defined benefit fund and $820 million 401(a) defined contribution fund.
San Francisco-based Callan has succeeded Hewitt EnnisKnupp, who was selected as a finalist in the search process. The system will need to search for a consultant every five years as per the state statute.
