THIRD TEAM

Stéphane Voisin & team Crédit Agricole Cheuvreux

Shooting straight in to third place is the Crédit Agricole Cheuvreux quintet directed by Paris-based Stéphane Voisin. The team “has a useful systematic approach, releasing an SRI profile for most companies covered by financial analysts,” explains one backer. In April, after BP’s Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, killing 11 workers and creating the worst oil spill in history, the analysts published a report noting that the market wasn’t accounting for the potential liabilities and financial damages that such a spill could create. U.S. federal law capped the U.K.-based oil giant’s liabilities for such a disaster at $75 million, but in response to public outrage and pressure from Washington, BP agreed in June to set aside $20 billion to pay for claims resulting from the spill.
