Credit Suisse is planning to make changes to its staff bonuses and cut cash payouts.

Credit Suisse is planning to make changes to its staff bonuses and cut cash payouts, The Wall Street Journal reports. The Swiss lender is seeking to pay cash bonuses over four years, while it is removing leverage from 2010’s plan in bonuses paid out as bank stock. The Zurich-based bank will also lower the threshold for deferred compensation to $51,661 from $129,042. Credit Suisse reduced U.K. banker bonus pay by 30% in response to a new tax last year.
