The pension fund of Volker Wessels will cut its hedge fund portfolio by 50% over the next few months, HFMWeek reports. The decrease in the portfolio by the Stichting Pensioenfonds Koninklijke Volker Wessels Stevin follows a recent asset liability study.

The pension fund is seeking a more “passive, benchmarked investment portfolio”, said Jaap Jong, investments manager at the scheme. Currently, the €1.05 billion pension fund for the Dutch construction services company allocates about 10% to the portfolio.
